Hakai, even though he can use it anytime, oftenly uses his fire ability to enhance his wepond during combat. His abitlity is most shown with a white fire,  the most torrid of the Flames. But to be honest, He pretty much dosent care too much for the fire ability. After awakening his element during battle he quickly adapted to the ability, and became an expert on it very quickly.  He mostly thinks of it as a  "buff" to his own personal strength.
