A spot of fanart for one of my favorite living poets, Jay Hulme.
I've always found his mix of down-to-earth and head in the clouds to be lovely, and recently have increasingly admired how he's found and kept space for himself in a faith that can be,,, historically very difficult for us queer folks. I don't always feel comfortable in the church as an institution myself these days, even having found a congregation that is good to me, but I can definitely respect that having found something that sings to him there he is fiercely insistent that he belongs.
