"It's for one night." Gyo kept telling herself. Just gotta wine and dine with the elite for one night. Do a little intel gathering for the client and move on... Despite feeling at home on the battlefield, little prepared her for the unfamiliar challenges of silver tongues and hidden motives, political gestures and and navigating the whims of the upper class. A penniless fighter devoid of social skills had no place in these grand halls. It was hard to breathe. There were no ghosts clutching at her throat this time, only the echoes of her own ineptitude. "Just one night."
