I'm experimenting with porcelain paints! This is on a white tile. I have a bunch of them that were never used for the building they were intended. SO! Here's the result.
This is painting of a photograph from when my family and I went to Dawson City when I was 11. I have yet to put the writing on the tombstone, but other than that, I consider this finished.
Wow! That's so spiffy! It looks amazing Robin, it requires you to be really accurate when doing that kind of thing no? I just love the scenery and old graveyards, just like EBS. I've never been to one though, but if I do I just have to paint one. Well done again! new
Yes, it requires a fair degree of accuracy, since after the paint dries a bit, if you try to add more to the area, the old stuff will peel off and leave chunks of black in your new wet paint.... You can see that happening a little bit on the tree in the back. Though I started doing that on purpose after the initial mistake, because it suited the texture.
Old graveyards are very very special. I should post the photo I took this from in my image folio... There's nothing quite like it.

I didn't reply to this?! Actually I wouldn't know there was a mistake if you hadn't told me. I apreciate your patience with this stuff... You know, if you have more like this then you can decorate your house with these tiles. I bet it would look awesome. And I can't wait to see those photos.
I know - I'm a big fan of old things in generall myself - mainly places. They're just so full of past experiences - past life... It's hard not to feel awed by them. I think this one was just the coolest because that tree grew from right out of where the woman was laid to rest in 1902.
Yup! It's on a tile. Black porcelain paint. *hugs*

It's not much more difficult than doing a proper drawing, really. I gave the house tile to my dad for father's day.
Anyhow, I must be off. I'm not writing coherently, probably. Just woke up.
Much love,
Robin
Thanks, luv!
