It was like his body was enclosed into an exoskeleton of chitin, its uneven surface glimmering with constantly shifting reflections as he moved. For an untrained eye, his [own] blood made Caspian into a pincushion.
But a closer look revealed its sadistic schemes. The armor made him impossible to get hold of. None could pin him down without risking their arteries.
