Familiar visions of Samir's third death swam into his mind. The sea mount. The glinting steel poking from the dirt of that dark peak deep in the abyssal depths of the Greater Labryinth. The object responsible for his demise. It was there that the huge beast dispatched its prey. He should have been more aware of his surroundings instead of foolishly gunning ahead. Samir had not even had the chance to see what tore into him. But this time was different. He turned to see a squid-like creature emerge from the dark, tentacles undulating. Yes, this time would be different. He turned on his heel and ran.
