Eventide Race

prompt 2: Firefall

Pandora and Creedance, former teacher and student, now as equals hung in the air as the flaming meteors whooshed past them. This place was dangerous, but that was part of the appeal. Any meteor strike meant death potentially, but that added to the adreline rush. It was the danger, and the thrill they both craved in any good race. The end of the race was the nearest protected city. Both of them, as much as they were excited, were a bit nervous. Any blow could be end the race, but the victory would be sweet and well deserved. After giving each other a nod, and steeling themselves, Pandora said, "One." "Two", Creed could feel her heart starting to pound faster as she said that. "Three!" Pandora finished, with both shouting, "GO!"  With that, they both took off. With that, the race had officially started.
