I think it's cute but it needs more contrast. I think you should use the 'autocontrast' feature in PhotoShop to make it easier to see. Also try adding some simple color to it like with a single color without any shading on a layer below the pencil and then use a layer effect on the pencil drawing layer to make the color show through. It would give it more character.
