I like the idea of the ribbon as a talisman!

For the pic, you've done a great job with a difficult angle. It looks really good.

Thanks a lot! I struggled with this, eventually cutting the canvas in half, but I think it was good for the atmosphere ^^

I also initially thought of making an ax as a talisman, but the ribbon, in my opinion, looked more interesting!

I didn't see the original, but the cropped canvas looks great to me. Perhaps it is helping with the claustrophobic atmosphere? I definitely prefer the ribbon as a talisman. Thinking of interesting talismans for the characters is so fun.

  Initially, I wanted to show the whole room, and Tipp to highlight with light and shadow. But then I realized that this would distract from the main element - the talisman. So I cropped the canvas, making the ribbon the center of the composition (and that definitely helped!)
  I also love originally made talismans, it's always interesting to see what others have thought of
