[Art] Sylven Spellbook (Kyren's Talisman)

Sweet! (Ramble Incoming..)

I developed the Sylven family and their lore through a series of RPs off-site. I haven't touched upon the lore in years, but the family obtained nobility when Caidre Sylven was blessed with a magical guitar, and used it to defend the Dark-Elven Kingdom (originally I dubbed it the Underdark, but that's a no-go due to copyright. So I'm currently thinking up new names for this kingdom). Caidre was born with Chaos magic. Chaos Mages up until that point usually had short and unfortunate lives due to their magic - which was often powerful and out of control. When he was blessed with his guitar, he finally had a magical source of harmony to balance out the chaos within him, allowing him to control his power and meet his full potential. In doing so, he saved the kingdom from the Dark Elf-Goblin Wars and eventually became the king. Since then, every Sylven royal is set to inherit the guitar, and become a powerful bardic king or queen.

From there, things get a bit complicated. He and his queen, Alessia, had 3 children: Raymr, Milo, and Helia. Caidre's death is a source of feud between all three siblings, as Raymr saw his siblings as a threat to his power. He ensured that his adoptive sister, Helia, was banished after trying to eradicate her family. Out of fear, his brother Milo completely vanished, and started a new family somewhere else. This line is also where Kyren's family stems from, making Milo Sylven his father.

From there, Raymr Sylven continued to rule impulsively and mercilessly, granting him a notorious reputation that most Dark-Elves there still reference today. Even after his death, the majority agree that he was the "worst king in [their] history."
The current king, Ayred Sylven, is the half-Dark Elven son of Raymr. At that time, Raymr initially favored Ayred over his daughter, Venera, and left the guitar with him on the surface, furthering the kingdom into disarray as nobody knew what happened to the instrument that protected them.
After a long conflict between Ayred and Venera, Ayred eventually came out victorious, restoring the guitar to it's rightful place and becoming the new king.

And, that's pretty much the gist of it. Or, at least how it will be here on PaperDemon for the most part. It's been years since I've touched the lore or RPs, so a lot is likely to change.
