I Love it too! I think I just took skin color and darken it, free-form selected around the head to gradient it down as a depress or looming defeat clouding him.
The biggest problem was trying to make the skeleton look scary that the Dalv truely would be defeated...after adding color, look back and realize...it stupid as crap but gawd dang, would crap myself seeing that hellish thing coming at me...monsterious, beastial, craw, fangs, cover in blood boring but that son of a.... x
