Holy smokes girl! Look at the wonders you are creating while my back is turned! 
This drawing is so very imaginitive. I have never ever seen a mermaid look like this and it is ingenius.
But then again, I am not quite sure if it is supposed to be a mermaid considering you have clearly put a mermaid in the background. Well, whatever it is, it is definitely original and wonderful. Arkillian has given you some incredible advice on how to get the three dimensional aspect in your drawing. Even more so than what you already have. it all comes down to the shading babe. But you are definitely getting there, so don't worry. I absolutely cannot get over that hair on the seahorse head. it looks amazing. You have the perfect balance of light on it to give it that "wavy" texture. Your progress is astounding. Love yas! ^_^

First off, let me tell you, having your sleeping brother's butt in your face is not pleasnt at all. >< Especially when its a brother who sleeps like a rock and wouldn't wak up if a hurrican somehow came passing through here.

Ok now moving on, Truthfully, I've no idea WHAT I was thinking when I made this. All my friend kept saying I should draw an animal, and I was going trough some images of animals to use as a sort of refrence whenI saw an image of.. a cat I think it was. Well I started to draw the head but my hand had a mind of its own and started to add in the circle to make a long snout, and then the wings, etc etc. This is what came out. LoL I just kind of started seeing a new creature in itself and went with it, at first I was going to give it a horse like lower body, but I thought that that would not be quite as good as something that could be underwater, because I have never really tried to depict water before.
Anyway, so the mermaid fin came out, and the mermaid in the background... I am not too sure why she was placed in there either. Maybe because I want to start adding a lot of things into my images? Not sure. Something subconscious I think though.
And I was actually quite proud with the hair myself, I usually dont have hair coming out so.. balanced. Anyway, thank you so much for the great words!! They are appreciated.
