Neil Gaiman who wrote the Sandman series has a cute female character who is Death, she has the same long black hair etc etc.. I would seriously look it up before attemting to make a character so similar, esp if you want to sell this art.

Well, perhaps I shall read the entire series later. In any case, is this character an elf? Smile From what I've checked through on this series I've found that the background to his Death is totally different from mine aside from that their hair only happens to be the same color in this drawing. My character is always dying her hair different colors and black just happens to be the color I chose to use in this one. Also, my character is not a full "death" but, a death-in-training so to speak. There's many things I could have posted on her that would clearly show the differences in the characters but, seeing as hardly anyone I know ever reads the little blurbs I didn't bother.

Tho it may seem that the two are very close, they're not and I assure you, as a draw more and more of my own character it will be easy to see that. ^_^ I would never reference off of someone else's characters. I apologize if my description was the reason for the mistake. Smile

you don't have to apologize to me I was just letting you know there is already a character who is "Death" she's not an elf tho. She reminded me of her by her hair color and the fact that you made Death a girl and a happy looking one and you wrote: "what if death was flesh and blood, but not a person, an elf who was super cute and friendly but at the same time carried around a fancy scythe that only she could see and was the reaper of souls?".

Everything about that reminded me of Niel Gaiman's character except the thing about being a elf and instead of a scyth she has an ankh.

So I was just trying to let you know that's all

Ah, I see. Thank you very much then. Smile I do appreciate that you were trying to watch out for me from getting sued.

I'm very sorry if I sounded rude. You see, on another site I ended up getting attacked by this guy who absolutly blasted me for stealing the character of that book you were telling me about. I'd never heard of that user or that book series until I posted this drawing and, I just got reemed over for it by someone I'd never even heard of. *sigh*

But, again, thank you very much for letting me know. Hug And, also again, I'm very sorry if I took out my tiredness of being flamed for everything I submit on you.
