Is this inked, or did you sketch it with the pen to begin with? If it's the latter, then that's just plain awesome. <3

The colors are nice--but I think (although I might only be getting this impression from the comment-string on my art o~o) That you've colored a little too quickly. It helps to slow down, keep your pencils sharp, and apply color in layers of soft pressure.

I agree with most of the other criticism you've received and can't really think of much else to add. So uh... nice. xD (Sorry if this double-posts. It brought up that "Cannot Find Server" error when I tried to post, so I refreshed the art and the comment hadn't gone through yet.)

No, I drew it and then inked it. But I think I was just playing with it then, not really worrying about how the drawing looked, just the color.(And hands are on the list of eternally damned and I have very little tolerance for their floppyness. ><
But I'll definatly try to color slower and use heavier paper if I'm going to draw something serious. And bring a pencil sharpener next time I go camping...><

  Ah, well playing with it is what art's all about. x3 Gotta have fun with it sometimes, at least.
  I don't think the weight of the paper makes too much of a difference in the coloring when it comes to colored pencils--it's the tooth/grain of the paper, and how the artist applies color. Heavy paper is good for markers, and probably alright for paints--although most paints are better off on canvases--but colored pencil isn't affected much. I'm still disappointed with the coloring on an older drawing because the paper's got a really rough tooth and it was impossible to smooth out the coloring. (And mom kidnapped it and framed it, so I have a reminder everytime I pass by the thing. x.x)
