Neck cramps! It's always hard to look at a picture all cock-eyed like this.

Details> Try some embroidery on the vest and making it a long vest. Or adding a sash to a short vest is very "piratey".

I'd watch the "Hips" too. He has womanly curves to his hips, men have more narrow and straight hips. (And you've THANK GOODNESS given him a crotch, but no bulge... he should have a little bulge in such tight pants. Most people leave out crotches all together so YAY!!!! You get Anatomy 101 bonus Points!!!! Woot!!)

You have a GREAT START however.. little details make all the difference, even if you think people don't notice, they do and don't realize it.

^^
This looks very UTENA inspired (nice style) Use UTENA wardrobe details, that regency style is VERY Pirate like as well.

D: Sorry. I had to scan that at my friends and their programs are too much of a pain. >.< Else, I would have turned it. </3

I'm bad about making my men look like women. It's only been recent(less than a year now) that I've been drawing men. D: Ever since preschool I've mainly only drawn women. >.< He is supposed to be femine, though. Perhaps I did go a little overboard. >.< Nyar.

I've also never gone into too much detail with the lower regions, such as bulges. I tend to draw in public and people like to stair when I work on the crotch too much. >#> It's even worse since I hate clothing and most... er...all of my people start off nude. >.<

Ah, yes... details. Those will come. >.< I just wanted to make sure there were no major errors I was overlooking. I hate having to erase details to fix an error that could have been dealt with prior to all the work. x_x

I haven't seen Utena in so long. xD I'd completely forgotten about it until now. <3

:snuggle huggles: Thank you for the help. :3 Art sites need more people who will help out. That's why I like Paperdemon. x3 <3

It's a good thing you start with nudes, that's the BEST way to get clothing/folds/draping correct.

If people stare, stare right back and say "Yes, do you have a problem?"

If they giggle and snort, they are the ones seriously immature. Any *ANY* art teacher will tell you that starting with a nude is best, if peopple are prudes and get their jollies watching you draw something that intimidates them let them.

The only people who would have a problem with it, aren't worth your time anyway.

Just be honest if they start with the jeers and teasing.

"Like why R you like drawing him *giggle* nekkid?"

"Because, oh ye infantile one, I need something to put clothes on first. Were you born with clothes on? No. A Picture cannot be born that way either."

Simple as that and then THEY look like the idiots they are. Never let something like that make you self-conscious. SmileHeart

The sad thing is that most of my people [stay] naked. ^^, I don't finish a lot of my drawings. o_x

D: I so want to quote or paraphrase you. <3 May I? The way you said that was just the awesomeness. xD My responses never sound that smart. ;.; My brain deflated, but at least I'm not out of doodle juice. >.<

I sit my some pregnant, moody chick in Phychology, where I usualy do my drawing when I'm done with my work. I think she hates me and tries to make my life miserable. Sometimes I want to rip her tongue from her mouth. <_< I tend to try to just ignore her, though. Pregant teen women are pure evil-- no offense to women or anything.
