The dragon plaques are expensive because of all the time I put into them...all those leaves take forever to make. This one was purchased for 300.00, & was actually one of my less expensive plaques.

Wow- that's $300 in what currency? I still think it's worth it. THis is a beautiful peice. I'd be VERY wary of shipping something like that as far as New Zealand though. I got Ash Evans to make me an my friend a dragon statue each and we were very lucky that it came with minor damage even with the amount of packaging she used. The freight people are very rough 
I send a lot of my work overseas. So far no problems...leather sculpture is pretty resilient & so breakage isn't much of a worry. I use plenty of tape & bubble wrap, just in case.
Hilariously, things that I send to Japan arrive twice as fast as things I send to Canada, and I'm only ten miles from the Can/US border.
Currently saving up for two MAJOR trips and computer up grade, an new tv, but when I have more cash, I'd love to buy a sculpture like this. Donno if the exchange rate will be as good as it is now then, but you have a fan in me!!
