I really do like this style... I'm definitely a fan of minimalist art, and that's what this strikes me as, with just highlights, deepest shadows, and those chosen color spots. This is just as striking, especially with the eye visible here. It's less about the movement, and more about his spirit showing through.
It feels like one could look at this for a while and actually feel something from that gaze, which is a great accomplishment in an art piece!
You have a really good sense of anatomy, and these poses are so nicely done and very convincing. I'm impressed!
