Well, to me, this feels very cell styled in colouring. The basics of this picture I can understand- trees silhouetted against the sunset behind it, but at the moment the pieces don't fit together cause they're block style shaded. What you need if to make use of the red light source to highlight the grass's texture with a small brush, give the tree a slight halo on som edges to show it's level of 3D, make the red hue pass through the blue, make the water more translucent by either showing that it's fast, or showing that it has a bottom. A few things like that. I like how the water carries the shadow thoguh. The biggest thing it needs is a consistent colour temperature Smile The red hue of the sunset. If I saw the original, I could say more thoguh.

This is actually really altered from the original; I only used it as a basis for an idea and the colors are much, much different from it because I didn't manage to get a good reference for it other than looking at it on my crappy computer which is terribly placed. When I did finally get a reference, it was a couple days after I had finished and I didn't want to go back and re-do the whole thing.
This was an experiment painting, to see what I needed to improve on since it's been a while since I've used acrylics, and to see what I need to improve on. And I'll keep everything you said in mind as I do my next painting. Smile
