I do a lot of it by hand, but my scanner broke a while back.
Programs cost money -uses GIMP and all its horribleness-

Yeah- and a good scanner makes a huge difference. Could try a camera if you can get the lighting right :/ A tablet isn't exactly a cheep option if you'd rather colour traditionally.

    Good cameras are expensive too, which sucks because I like photography. I used to use my web cam until it stopped working.

      D: Well, web cams aren't known for quality in the first place, but perhaps you need to hit ebay for something second hand?

        I really should. I should probably start looking for a new computer first though, the one I have now's pretty old.

          Having a decently speced computer helps alot with art. Specially if you layer hog. The memory load and graphics load can be a heavy burden for an old computer.
