And yeah, I could see super-villain as an option for this guy!
Other options include: some kind of experimental soldier, final boss before you get to an ancient treasure chamber+mystical weapon, or a supervillain-or-morally-dubious-liegelord's most faithful bodyguard. Actually, I think I have a couple old story ideas he might plug into easily...
