Heya, I hope you don't mind if I share my paint-over of your piece here. Just wanted to help since you were looking for critique and I find it easier to show than type down advice.
You've already got a pretty good story shown with the corpse trail and the river bend, so I decided to emphasize those with my critique. Note that the paint-over mostly focuses on how the composition and layout of your piece can be improved, not so much on color.
