I like how at the first glance, the kid looks like they take after the striped parent more, but then you really look at them and realize they have many non-color traits from the glowing parent, like the fins. Its a bit of subtlety a lot of people miss when it comes to parents with their kids.
This is actually a huge compliment!
When I designed the smol one, I had the parents in mind and wanted her to actually look like she could be their kid <3
