Upon first glance, Izzy is an adorable, if a little big, isopod in his day-to-day life. He lives in the deep trenches of the ocean and was found by a young Lo'ihi and Hoku, who promptly attempted to eat him. They found his shell too hard to crack and were in for a nasty surprise when he unfolded out into a sea centipede like creature and delivered an electric jolt to them. They decided to keep him as a pet instead, which Izzy is totally fine with. He gets all sorts of leftovers from their hunts.
