Ready, Set, Fight!

You may make one attack per 20 hours. In addition to your one attack, you may partner with another player to Duocast. See the Battle Guide for details on Duocasting. 

For art based attacks…

• Choose one of the prompts below and upload your artwork to PaperDemon.com and copy and paste the prompt you chose into the description of the artwork.

• The artwork must fulfill the prompt and be at minimum a black and white sketch that includes about half of your character’s body.

• Submit your attack to the battle thread, using the form provided.
  
  

For writing based attacks…

• Choose one of the prompts below and upload your writing work to PaperDemon.com and copy/paste the prompt you chose into the description of the piece.

• Make sure to copy/paste your writing piece in its entirety into the Chapter body.

• The writing piece must be a minimum of 150 words.

• Submit your attack to the battle thread, using the form provided.

Prompts

You’ve read your mission brief and you’re ready to join the fray! Pick one of the prompts below to complete an art or writing work for each attack you make. If you’ve already gone through all of the prompts, feel free to join our Discord and drop new prompt ideas into the #bugs-and-suggestions forum for review.

Make sure to copy and paste the prompt and its number into the description of the works you upload for battle!

1. Draw or write about your character fighting the boss!

2. Draw or write about your character trying to stop the boss without fighting it. Do they convince the Queen into a swimming pool to cool down? Do they conjure up a rain storm big enough to put out the fires and wash away the cheese?

3. Draw or write about your character attempting to clear away the tide of taquitos or the flood of formaggio by devouring it. 

4. Draw or write about how your character would handle a fast food job– would they flip the food like a pro or drown in a deluge of demands from ravenous customers?

5. Draw or write about your character designing or wearing a cheese or fast food themed outfit.

6. Draw or write about your character designing or using a cheese or fast food themed weapon.

7. Draw or write about what your character’s powers would be if they were food themed.

8. Is your character lactose intolerant? Do they have any other allergies to food or spices? Draw or write about them having an allergic reaction to something they ate.

9. Is there any food that’s particularly special to your character? Did they have a favorite meal that their parent made them? Do they take joy in cooking for friends? Draw or write about an important moment in your character’s history that is centered around food.

10. Do a food study! Pick some food you have in your home in real life and set it near your workplace. Play with the lighting and angles until you have something cool, and then draw it to the best of your abilities.

Win Conditions

In the past, our battles have had little by way of consequences. The terrors have been defeated swiftly, and with few long-lasting effects to the Paperverse at large.

This time is different.

The boss must be defeated within three weeks, 21 days from the official battle launch. Otherwise, fields upon fields of crops and flowers will be destroyed, and the citizens of Castimeria will need your help to recover. 

Rewards

For each character you enter into battle with, you will earn…

• 50 XP per attack or hosted Duocast

• 40 Gold per attack or hosted Duocast

• 10 Trokens per attack or hosted Duocast

• 5 - 7 AP per attack or hosted Duocast. Your duocast partner also earns AP from being depicted in the artwork/writing.

  • 5 AP for sketches and 150 word written works

  • 7 AP for full color art or 225+ word written works

Checkpoint rewards and raffles will also be available for this battle!

• Each battle entry you make will count as a ticket towards a raffle after the boss is defeated. One winner will be chosen at random and will receive their choice of one Talisman Accessory.

• The character who deals the finishing blow will receive their choice of one Talisman Accessory!

• The character who deals the highest damage will receive their choice of one Talisman Accessory!
