Chapter NaN: Mission 1: Unworthy
Whoa, whoa, you’re kidding me right?
An Axew marched into the small cafe while followed by a rather massive Bouffalant. The dragon’s mind was wandering as they reached into the scarf of their cloak and peaked at the golden badge. This was apparently in one of the mystery dungeons on this continent- one filled to the brim with money-loving Pokemon and item hoarding manics.
How did this bucko lose such a big deal item?
A little Axew, tuskless and brash, raised their head, ruby cloak billowing behind them, staring down the golden badge. Their red eyes narrowed. As they read the name, Attorney … Worthy?
“You choose to go on account and suddenly you’re playin’ errand ‘mon!" The Axew barked.
“Right … Captain, you’re causing a scene,” a whisper into the little dragon’s ear by a light wool Bouffalant.
The Axew snorted, “Like I care, Yehoshua! This could be big! Do you know how much Poke we could milk out of this cat?” They proceeded to rustle through their scarf to pull out a folded sheet of paper, holding it by the edge with a smile.
The Bouffalant coughed, rolling his eyes for a moment to remind his ‘friend’ here the primary issue. “It’s only one star. The best we get would be change, Captain.”
“Hah! I swear I will get the most out of that red-eyed monster Luxray,” the Axew responded, jumping on to a table and kicking aside some berry bowls, “for I am Captain Cheri Red of the Red Crew!”
Ahem.
Wait, why is Yehosua staring to my right?
W, why are you walking away!?
Come back here!
“Yeho–”
“Captain … huh?” A voice commented. Cheri’s head slowly turned, eyes first then the rest of the upper body followed as a Luxray covered in splotches of berry juice gave a blank stare at the small Pokemon. “Do you have money from your voyages to pay for this?”
Cheri blinked, raising the paper, “Are you–”
“Attorney Worthy?” The Luxray says with a nod.
“Did you–”
“Also yes, I’m the ‘red-eyed monster’ Luxray.”
“Oh.”
Cheri stared at the giant carefully and meticulously, backing away before throwing the badge in his face and going for a sprint to the nearest door. Unfortunately, the Axew choked, both literally and figuratively, as their body lurched back from the amount of force pressed against their cloak.
“Oh come on! I just cleaned it!” Cheri complained.
Worthy sat down behind Cheri with a groan. “Thank you … I’m afraid I will have to talk to you about your reward … your payment for my lunch.”
Cheri’s eyes widened, “WHAT? NO!”
