Tears of Red: Announcement

Bombalurina and Rum Tum Tugger sat patiently waiting for Old Deuteronomy to return.  Bombalurina was dying of nervousness.  How would the jellicle leader take the news.  After all, she was going to take away his son.  Tugger was also tense.  How would his dad react?  Would he be happy?  Would he be mad?  Their thoughts were interupted by the leader himself.

"Tugger!  I haven't seen you since the Jellicle Ball.  Nor you, Bomba.  How are you guys doing?" he asked merrily in his deep voice.

" We're just great, and you?" he asked happily.

"Oh, I'm doing swell.  So, what are you guys doing here?" he asked.

"Well, we've come to tell you something very important..." Bomba said.

"We're becoming mates!" Tugger said excitedly.  Old Deuteronomy's face matched the atmosphere. 

"Tugger!  Bomba!  This is wonderful news!  You guys after such a long time are finally getting together to have a family.  I must tell the tribe at once!  When do you want this blessed ceremony to happen?" he asked.

"Well, as soon as possible, of course.  We love each other, I don't think we can bare another minute we're seperated!" Bobma replied.

"Then, it will be tomorrow!  Congratulations you two!" he said.  "Now hurry up, there's lots of work to be done!"

Quietly, form behind all the trash, lurked the jealous Pouncival, plotting, planning his revenge to finally get Bomba.
