Cardboard kindergarten bricks

Are falling apart, kicked to pieces.

Fortress erased.

Walls defaced.

Someone, show the way to fix

This house, built in the name of Jesus—

These colorful child-hopes,

Adult hypocrisy,

And ugly, copse-

Bounded mediocrity.
