Faust VIII colored

After the penciled version of this pic sat in my dA gallery and on my comp for months, I thought I might as well color it (since that's what I love to do more than actually draw).

Took the lineart done in mech pencil on sketchbook paper and colored in PS Ele. 2.0.

ah, very nice... i enjoy the choices of color used in this piece..

but i ask.. where is the light source?.. besides there not being a noticeable light source (though, it could be from above) i think the only other knit-pick i'd have about this picture.. are the differnce in contrast between the lips and the rest of the skin.. the lips appear to be floating.. if the color was softened.. or the shading a bit more defined.. the picture as a whole would be a great joy to look at..

  Hmm... I probably should have blended it a bit more around the edges, but I think that floating effect might be from the contrast of the lipstick and his pale skin. Or maybe that's just me. But I can't really change the shade he uses since it's set in the anime.
  
  And the light sourse is from above and a bit to the right I believe.
