Guan Yin

Guan Yin (pronounced "Kwan-Yin" ), is a female boddhisattva, revered for her compassion and kindness. She is Daoist goddess too. Complicated. See wiki.

The girl with an orb is Lung NΓΌ, granddaughter of Dragon King. Again, complicated, see wiki.

This pic was a complete experiment and has it's bugs (white faces, duh), but I like the feeling. And I loved mixing that purple!

I think I am going to paint her again anyway, so I guess I will sort it out by then.

This is interesting! I like the overall composition...I like how she seems to be slowly coming into some sort of life, slowly coming solid.

I love this style a lot, and I do like the way you made her ethereal and the colours too, it's very nice, it sort of reminds me of that batique (or however you spell it) style of using wax to mask colour. It's very nice though you should continue with the style!

Thanks. When you say it, it really looks like that wax-batique (I can't spell it either Big Smile ).
I was thinking about doing another picture like this, but I HAVE TO do the faces differently this time. They just look like covered with skin lotion or something. >.>

Lmao! I hadn't noticed that but you know what they say, practice makes perfect, so after a few more you'll figure out how to do the faces without the lotion effect Big Smile
