Morkeleb may have a new BF?? Maybe?? Not sure if I want this to be a canon thing or just a one-sided attraction from Borealis' side. Leaning more towards a mix of both.

Morkeleb is hard to break through to, especially after he escaped imprisonment. All he focuses on is his work, never giving time to form meaningful relationships with anybody, nevermind find someone he loves. Too much distraction to him. Until he met Borealis, that is.

Borealis is one of the few accepted into the cult without the Nox gene. His feathers may be black, but that's due to the moth mutation he was born with. He's actually got the snow gene, but no one knew until after he'd been integrated. He was a great candidate too, so they kept him around. Although he was stubborn and liked to do things his way, he did them exceptionally. Morkeleb is very much the same, making Borealis take notice of him from the moment he was chosen to lead. Borealis began to become obsessed with Morkeleb, trying to get through to him that there's more to life than just your given duty. Morkeleb didn't take notice, or he simply ignored them. Eventually, once the cult was disbanded and after Morkeleb broke out, Borealis found him again, making a vow to get Morkeleb to understand the importance of alliances and friendships. Morkeleb had previously had acquaintences at most, but never a friendship. He was a loner. Borealis had always been social, conecting with a lot of others in the cult. He may not have had a high ranking, but he had an infamous reputation.

Once the two were connected again, without the weight of an entire organization on his shoulders, Morkeleb relaxed a bit. Only a little, as he still had to fulfill his purpose, but he was much less high-strung all the time. Once Phantom was reawakened and Morkeleb fell under her posession, Borealis was forced to separate again, as he saw what it had done to Morkeleb and many others, and didn't want to go down the same road. Once Phantom was gone, Morkeleb was basically an insane husk of a being, but Borealis tried to help him. He got hurt a lot in the process, almost giving up multiple times, but eventually he was able to return a bit of Morkeleb's mind to his body.
