Mahina's Brooche

A gift given to them by their parents on their 5th birthday, and the moment they got it. They were rarely ever seen without it. However; unbenounced to them at the time. What they had originally thought was just a beautifully intircate accessory. They later came to learn that it has an actual use besides...being pretty. 

One being a spirt ward. Something that can take a physical, specteral-like form. It can summon itself if it senses that you are in danger, but you can also summon it. The other use being that of a conduit. Something that helps your mana regulate itself, and your ability to channel and exert said mana.
