Hi! I'm a newbie to this place. Here's my first character!
Character Name: Thalia
Character Age: 163
Character Species: Phoenix
Hair color: No hair sadly... but, greenish-blue feathers!
Eye color: Sunny Gold
Biography:
A phoenix's life begins with a flame. In 1859, the flame spectroscope was invented, allowing scientists to identify elements based on their chemical properties alone. To do this, a sample of matter was ignited under the flame of a Bunsen burner, producing a colorful fire unique to its element. The newly discovered method of elemental analysis was a great breakthrough in the scientific world. It inspired other scientists to conduct experiments using this technique, and laboratories all around the globe began fiddling with little flames of varying colors in all hues of the rainbow, burning various metals, minerals and chemicals in the pursuit of uncovering new additions to the Periodic Table.
Thalia rose from the ashen ruins of a building in which one scientist mishandled the newly invented device. The amateur scientist had intended to light CuCl2, a copper chloride that burns a beautiful blue when tested. The flames licked combustible particles of other chemicals he had carelessly placed nearby in a haste, and a collosal explosion occurred, sending hot blue flames high into the air. Everything around was set ablaze. The spreading fire left no survivors. From the death and destruction rose the burning blue phoenix, and from there, her new life began.
Although that's how she thinks she was born, she isn't quite sure; it was a long time ago and details are hard to recall. In fact, Thalia may not have even been born in that moment. Perhaps she had lived numerous forgotten lives. Ever since the explosion regenerated her, she drifts through the air on bright, fiery wings. In 1000 years, she will burst into flame and return to dormant ash once more, just like others of her kind, but until that distant day she seeks to spend her immortal years filling her life up with adventure and pursuing the joys of living.
