Prompt #2 - Training Montage

There are many paths to success. Show how your character changes their element. Do they seek out a mentor? Do they go searching for a magical item? Do they spend hours in the library researching? Do they train themselves by sheer force of will?

I had some lore behind this, but essentially, Kai discovers a ghost in aviation school who shows up in his dreams. They form some kind of a relationship, at least as much as somebody can have with a ghost. But he doesn't make a whole lot of other friends in school at first because of his out of control fire element and eventually, some bullies trap him in a plane, have it take off, and of course it catches fire like predicted. So his ghost friend shows up and transfers her powers to him, displacing his original fire element. He survives and manages to land the plane successfully, even if it's totalled afterwards.
But thereafter, he never saw the ghost and she never appeared in his dreams again.
