Stella was eager to showcase her newfound powers to Käreitär. She looked at her with an eager expression, ready to do her first ability.
"Show me what you are!" Käreitär cheered on.
Stella shot a blast of white light into the sky. She was shaking with anticipation of what her magic type would be in this universe. The light exploded, and... nothing happened. She froze in confusion. She concentrated enough magic to make sure that her powers will manifest. She waited in place, hoping for a reaction.
Until some dropped on her head.
And it kept going.
She looked up, and so did Käreitär. Stella managed to make a cloudless rain fall upon her head, as if a mini drizzle became her personal shower. Käreitär was so proud of Stella, she squealed at how adorable her little rain power was.
"That's my beautiful girl!" exclaimed Käreitär.
She kept watching, until Stella's eyes watered. The glimmer in her eyes intensified to the point she wanted to cry. She was not crying tears of joy.
She was crying in disappointment.
Käreitär saw how Stella was not happy with the element manifested. In hopes of cheering her up, Käreitär showed her flames. Although Stella cannot change her element unlike Käreitär, at least with her creative mind and soul, she can make use of her newfound powers of water. Stella's tears dried as she was amazed at Käreitär's golden fire. But she looked on in silent envy & at the same time in amazement of her goddess's creativity. Maybe...
Stella can too make use of the element of water.

I anticipated drawing this pair in one prompt. Käreitär really acts as Stella's mother, which was what she promised when the latter freed her from her prison in the Fire Rune.
