DEKA - ALTERNA MEETINGS (CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT #4)

Weekly Prompt #93: Show how your character would react to another version of themself. 

Using Stella's powers, she brings herself and Käreitär to a mysterious void in-between realities.

Here, she can see almost every world and timeline never known to mortals. She and Käreitär went to different paths to see what they can find in this tunnel of time. It felt like being inside a current, where the beauty can be found in the flow. Here, alternate selves called "Variants" exist anywhere, each from a unique world, a different life, a different time.

Käreitär saw a version of herself that was a hardened warrior. She was a Drifter, but more of a battle-hardened type than a normal one. She introduced herself to her alternate self, but the look in her eyes did not welcome her optimistic nature. Her Variant left her alone, never speaking up as she phased through the currents of time, returning to her home universe. Käreitär was... quiet.

She seems to not be willing for a word. Maybe because she was built different?

Stella, however, walked a dark path in the tunnel. She only sees midnight blue currents of water, and they only darken the more she goes deeper. As she wanted to turn around, finding nothing but darkness ahead, a flash of light appear before her eyes. It took the shape of a four-pointed star, flaring with a pink light foreign to Stella.

A silhouette figure appeared, two different-colored eyes staring back at Stella. She spoke with a voice sounding almost like Stella's, but it's not really her.

"I found you," says the mysterious figure.

"Who?" Stella asks.

"I'm here to bring a message to you and to your goddess companion. I cannot tell you who I am, but I can only tell you that you are not the only one who came here."

"Who else would it be?"

"I don't know. But please, be careful, because-"

The rift shut closed, with the figure retreating back inside, not saying a reply as Stella is left puzzled by the encounter. She hears Käreitär panting behind her, who then showed up to Stella's side.

"Stella, are you-"

"Who was that woman?" asks Stella to Käreitär.

"Wait, who did you see there?"

"It was... a star-shaped rift. There was a person that came out. She had long hair, but I can't see her details. She said that we're not the only ones in this realm."

Stella paused. Käreitär had to absorb that new information that she mentioned. It's an odd encounter that someone might just leave a warning for both of them without figuring out who they are. The two began to walk out of the shady area of the tunnel, going back to their reality as Stella led the way back home.

Decided to finish the WIP for good. Stella's alternate self is shrouded in mystery that even see cannot see what she look like in other realities. Despite being unable to see the person, she is left with its warning. Originally, I was supposed to reveal it, but I decided to keep it secret and vague... until I make up the design.
