DEKA - THEM CHIBI PEOPLE (CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT #5)

The tiny plant Fae was just flying around, until they notice a strange long black-haired woman that was trying to concentrate such explosive energy around her. At first the woman looked at the Fae in predatory curiosity, before letting them stay with her.

Basil learned that the woman is named "Lara Kai" - a powerful Drifter billions of years ago in a distant universe. They do not know of her true origins, as none of her roots has been uncovered yet. They observed Lara Kai channel her powers, and they attempted to do the same.

However, Basil kept flying uncontrollably, going in circles by their own elemental powers. The little plant Fae had control over the element of Wind, but Lara Kai's Fire is... unnatural. As Basil only glides in their little wind sphere, Lara Kai began to cackle at herself. She had managed to harness what is called as "Unstable Element". For a Drifter to be able to retain their sanity, it takes great willpower to have control over such an unstable force, let alone try to tame it.

But Lara Kai is an untamed Drifter, and her madness had allowed her absolute control over this unstable power. It looked like fire, but it crackles randomly like lightning. It's unlike that fire goddess's flames. There's something ominous with that teal flame as her blue eyes started intently, her diamond-shaped pupils piercing through it.

Chibi. Is. Time-saving. Usually for characters like Basil or those with a size smaller than a human, I speedrun them with chibi styles. Characters like Lara Kai or Stella have a chibi template, but the amount of details are reduced for simplicity's sake. As for the whole "Unstable Element", this might be a contrast to Käreitär's Fire Element, since Lara Kai is actually a maniacal character.

Is she a force of nature? I think so, since she's beyond even redemption ever since she got the "anti-hero" role.
