Although her footsteps caused a small vibration to the ground beneath her, it did not change the mood of this giant Drifter. Lara Kai sighed, wondering what to do with her time on this planet. According to data sources, this planet never spins, and on each side they have their own problems. It seems that this is a case of eternal day or night, depending on what side she is on.
However, the line where the two meet is where she's at. And she's massively bored about it.
To satiate her boredom? Lara Kai flew to space with her energy, looking for something that she can toy with. She searched in outer space, going past debris after debris. Most of them are just metals and other things. Many are failed spaceships, others an attempt to create a floating planet separate from the planet doomed to freeze in time.
However, she lands on an asteroid that is making its course towards the planet. Since she is large enough to ride it like a surfboard, she made a devious attempt to amuse herself.
Lara Kai uses her unstable powers to propel herself and the asteroid to the planet's balanced equator. As the asteroid gained momentum, she knew that colliding with the mass debris isn't going to be of any good. So she pushes them back with her flames, forcing them to fall towards the gravitational pull of the planet. Some entered its atmosphere, before the asteroid and the rest of the knocked debris followed.
In a sickening grin, she wanted that pull. She wanted that intense speed that she craved for so long in millions of years. She wanted to feel the fall, the wind, the speed. It was like a rollercoaster about to make its grand drop down the main course of the tracks. Her black flaming hair was blown back as she began to laugh. She used the asteroid to surf the skies in its free fall. Other falling objects burned like the asteroid, becoming her meteors.
She wanted this. She craves for this. She desires to stir up something loud, intense, extreme. It is one of the ways Lara Kai finds her amusement in her seclusion. To the Final Drifter, or the Dayosa, all of outer space is a sandbox. The worlds beyond and here are a playground for her to get her hands on. As if she is ready to die with her life, her right arm is outstretched, gaining her balance as she enjoys the fall.
But she has darker ideas.
Maybe she can use the other falling debris as her stepping stones until she can find another giant object to ride on. For now, she enjoys the fall, until it is time for her to propel herself back to the skies before the impact arrives. After all, she cannot be seen as the perpetrator of these unwanted meteor showers.

I tried this time the gesture drawing's method of conceptualization by making multiple sketches in a single file within different sketched frames. One of them is a figure riding on a meteor, which is what I used for this piece. Lara Kai surfing on a meteor is a concept I had in mind since Drifters can do anything.
The world is a playground to a Drifter, and it is theirs to shape and mold as they see fit. But RIP Eventide, because we have someone who just enjoys doing daredevillish things.

There is also another artist on DeviantArt who utilizes multiple hard outlines and palettes (I forgot his name... but he's known for his Pokemon moveset artworks).
Also, Lara Kai's design is almost complicated because of the hair and the consistency of where and how the corruption coating spreads.
