Crafting Talismans

Naedithas loves creating things and crafting is something he grew up with until he had to leave his home. He usually carved animal figures for people of the druid circle which he served but over the years he tried to hone his skills and took on carving actual people.

Since he joined the guild, he got to meet a few people who were kind to him and gave him the feeling of having found a home so as a kind gesture, he decided to carve a figure for each of them. Of course he was nervous about this, what if they won't like his depiction of them? Either way he put his full heart into it and continued carving, even throughout the night where only a candlelight could help him see...

I greatly enjoy the atmosphere of this scene, Naedithas being fully focused on his craft and the hand-crafted figurines looking like they were carefully made with love, I think the natural warm lighting from the candle helps to convey this feeling. I like the choice of style for the figurines and how all the characters are recognizable in their figurine forms. Good work!

Thank you so much for this detailed comment! I was especially insecure about the setup and the style of the figurines, making them actually look like they are handmade and a bit imperfect, so it means a lot that you point out how fitting they are for this scene. I appreciate that a lot, thanks for making my day 💜

I'm glad you like him 💜 I was a bit insecure that my interpretation of a figurine looks dumb but I wanted to keep them clunky since carving isn't easy, especially when you've got big bear hands like Nae so they just can't be too intricate 😂
