1Prompt #3 - Spine Chilling

Portal Posi’s lab has been discovered... Draw or write about your character dealing with the spine portal robots. Your piece must include your character and a spine-shaped robot with a portal for a head.

For some reason, when eventering the lab every single light is shut off. When walking through the entrance, Myrrh runs into a metal wall. Except it's not a metal wall.

This came out so good! Sorry you missed the challenge deadline. I'm going to reopen it soon requiring a junket tank. Looks like you have one in your inventory. I'll get it back open soon! Thanks for your patience

  Oh did I miss it? I thought I submitted the day of oops but yeah using the junket tank is fine when did the deadline end?

Oh goodness, this is so cinematic!! Your use of color and textures really sets the tone for this piece, and I adore it.
The rectangles/sharpness of the lines add to the futuristic effect as well.

I see you requested constructive critique, so I took another look. At the floor/wall at the bottom, with the rectangle and circle detailing, I think the lack of texture and colors in that section compared to the neighboring parts makes it stand out a little, which might not've been what you intended.

As I said though, I love this piece.
(Side note, I like Myrhh. <3 This would not surprise you if you saw my character. Elves with long hair and glasses solidarity *insert handshake emoji*)

  Thank you! Yeah, I'm trying to figure out how backgrounds work. I can do characters fine but foreground/background is my archnemesis. Also, while your character doesn't have that much artwork for it, I think it's also great!

  Backgrounds are *rough*, I don't blame you. Maybe doing landscape pieces that don't require a character could be a possible way to practice going forward? But I think you did a great job here so you should feel proud!
