... OMG- is that a colour key on her hat? Woot- interesting decoration ^^ I only just noticed that!! XD Lets see- It's a little hard to give a full crit, cause you do have a style very different to me, but I'll try and base it off popular manga. I'll start at the top

Head- That hat is huge- I'm not sure if it should be. The human head tends to be double the height of the chin to the eye line. Manga breaks this of course, sometimes giving HUGE foreheads or even the opposite. This is hard for me to comment, but at minimum, I suggest sketching the shape of her head BEFORE putting hair and acsecories on. Al my sketches start as a hairless/clothless person. I start with bbody position or face, and work from the top to bottom. Hats are the same- fit them to the head- not he other way around Smile

Shoulders- She's got broad shoulders for a chick. She may be a swimmer, but It's up to you on that. They tend to be about a head width away from the middle of the body.

Torso- VERY important rule here- the body is easily measured by heads and eye lengths. The head is measured in eyes (Obviously manga makes these calculations *off*) and the body in heads. So you take the head without hair, and that is the measuremnet for key areas of the body. The normal human female is about 7.5 heads high. Men about 8. This is exadurated best in the legs. Not the torso. Letsee- First head is the head (wow- give the scholar a pat on her back ^^; ), the second is the nipple line, third is the belly button, fourth is the crotch, 5/6th is the thigh to the knee, the rest is lower leg. This is basing on an 7.5/8 head person. I don't know about anything more stretched than that- it's up to you then.

Torso tilt- the tilt is a little odd- I think its cause she doesn't have a center of gravity. The pelvis tilts down to the forward foot, the lower corrects this to an upright. Currently, she looks like she bends to her back leg.

Pelvis- Her hips could be a little broader. Up to you though how girly she looks Smile Personal preferance

Clothes- I can't help alot here. I'm not great at them myself, but keep in mind gravity. There is no wind in this pic, so those sleeves would hang straight down. Also practicallity. I'm not sure how long her jeans would stay baggy at the bottom like that before she scruffed thenm to doomyness. If you cover the shoe only, then that is effective and although not practical, it will give the long leg impression without destroying itself as she walks- costumes is hard cause you need to wear them and live in them. It's hard to keep it in mind when desinging gi, but important.

Lineart- I have not huge pointers except scanning at a high res and shrinking it. Smoothes out ALOT of mistakes. Oh- handy tip here!!! Draw curves from the INSIDE of the curve. That will smooth out the line, and put less effort on your wrist. More natral ^^ That or invest in a bendy ruller. I use those for the big curves Smile

That took 1/2hr to type!!! XD Wow!! Hope it helped ^^

No problem. Do post the updated version when you get around to it, and don't stress. I had that pencil pic for Valentines, but the colouring took too long and I had to post the naked pencil version *shrug* it happens
