Oh, this looks great! Do you think you could give me some tips on how to draw romantic stuff like kissing and...things? >>;; I can't seem to get the hang of it.

    x3; well, I could try to give some tips. I'm not sure how much help I'll be, however lol x3;;

      Any and all advice is welcome. What?

        Hmm, well, I guess I can give it a shot x3:

        1. It helps me to have just watched somthing kind of romantic (Actually, my favourite movie to watch for inspiration, if I want something innocent for the most part, is Memoirs of a Geisha), or even listen to some romantic music. Instrumentals work very well to help feel what kind of mood you want in the picture, but songs that have romantic lyrics work just as well ^^

        2. If you do a pencil drawing, the shading can help as well. That's why there's a lot of shadig in this peice ^_^That doesn't mean you need a lot of shading though. Even line-arts can look AWESOME, but it's difficult x3; Umm. can't remember what else I was going to say on that x3;

        3. For colours, again shading is a factor sometimes ^^ But using softer pastels can make it look romantic as well. I tend to work with watercolours or on opencanvas I do watercolour images.

        4. Backgrounds are.. well, sunsets, parks, lakes. Nature is romantic in itself. I can't say much to this though as I'm not one to focus on backgrounds ^^;

        5. The poses. Well, the couple should be close, but not acting like a bunch of horny teenagers at prom x3; where arms and hands are, and how close they get to eachother are important. While in 'Chu' they are not close, Mika has his hands on Owl's cheeks, and up into his hair slightly. Owl's hands on Mika's hips add to the mood of the sceen as well. It shows they're closer than friends but doesn't seem slutty or R rated. ^^

        More on poses is to not make them stiff ^^ it makes it seem... mn, let's say it makes it look forced. Like you're forcing someone ot hug their worst enemy x3

        5. Expressions should be gentle. A soft smile maybe, eyes closed slightly, if not completely. Or if it's a fun romantic image, like at the fair, or just having fun on a date to the lake, then happy expressions ^^ Laughing and the such. When colouring expressions, if it's a gentle, romantic kind of candlelight night, along with the gentle smiles perhaps a soft blush. Not overly done or they'll look shy when you might not want them to x3;

        Like I said, dunno what help that'll be x3; umm, if you really want, I might be able to eventually throw together a few romance tutorials? x3 might be easier than really trying to simply explain.

          The tips help some, but a couple romance tutorials would be great. ^^ Thanks a bunch.
