I really like the composition of this one. It feels awkward and ominous ^^ Red is a good choice to mix with grey to give a dark feel as it's lux level is alot darker in wavelength than other colours 
If you used blue or yello or some colour with a higher wavelength it wouldn't look quite as imposing. Iff that's how his character is then I'm not surprised it's a theme for him ^^
