Mild mannered, efficient, and doting- Whisper is wholly devoted to his handler. He is eager to please and highly trained, able to help Dheer wrangle unruly stryx. They communicate on a level achieved by few pairs, and Whisper responds to a series of very precise calls that do not align with most commands given to stryx.

Whisper's voicebox was damaged in an accident, and he is incapable of producing loud screeches without a considerable amount of effort. While Whisper has no real grasp of the nuances of language, he will mumble small affectionate phrases such as "baby boyyy" into his handler's ear or against his back.
