Duran is a contemplative stryx. He is also manipulative. Quiet and peaceful, he won't fight for what he wants, or make a fuss about it. But he will do little things- pointed looks, hovering, hooting. "Tattling" on Kelen (who is always in on it). Anything to get what he wants. He's incredibly intelligent, and easily motivated by challenge. However, he doesn't handle being alone very well, and is never seen without his sister, Kelen.

They are attached at the hip, never far from each other. They work excellently as a team- employing Duran's Corva-like speed and intelligence with Kelen's sheer brute strength and size to take down prey and enemies alike.

Duran is small, even for a male, but he is agile and quick, maneuvering in the air like no other stryx can.
