Brief biography: The progeny of an elf and a half-demon, the former a power hungry sorceress and the latter a prolific purveyor of soul contracts for a large "family business" that he was all but assured a place in...whether he wanted it or not. In his teens it was revealed that a third party had an interest in him as well; a powerful witch to whom his mother had promised her firstborn child--something she never intended to have, until she met Chirni's father. Now his father and the witch fight over control of his life, his future, and his very soul, but he'd rather go to grad school for a degree in applied magicks or something mundane like accounting. The witch's hold on him for her own nefarious plans manifests as a thorny growth around one of his horns that grows back no matter what he does. He fears the growth may be internal as well but he's in no hurry to find out for sure.
