Brief biography:

Armand is a lonesome sort, always has been. To the few people he has befriended, he is clever, a bit of a dork, and loyal.
He is of the winged folk, which are closely related to humans. Beyond their large wings, usually feathered, they possess hollowed bones and just the right amount of inherent magic to let them soar through the skies. Armand, like many others of his home, grew up on the open fields leading to rocky oceanic cliffs. Those cliffs taught him to fly, and the fields led to a fascination for exploration.

From a young age, Armand showed a magical talent. And with no one around willing to teach him, he taught himself. By 13 he was attempting spells some wizards of 200 were wary of (Armand had... varying results).

Eventually Armand's wings grew strong enough that he set off across the ocean in search of adventure. And perhaps an odd job or two to fill his pockets. Soon after he encountered his first mentor. It didn't last. And now as a young adult, and a little more wary of the world, Armand sets out again to new adventure.
