Accustomed more to the rolling hills and wildlife, she nonetheless set off on a journey at her grandmother's urging. "The Everwakes are travellers, always have been." Her grandmother had said. "Alas I am old, and your parents are not here to show you the world." Frightened, but resolute, Kalei set off on an adventure of her own. But home will always be the small house at the outskirts of a small town, with its haphazard windows and rickety chimney, and the smell of grandmother's soup.

Description: (Required for written works only): (100 words describing your character's appearance.) Short and wiry, this slip of a demon has unproportionately large wings for her small size. Her leathery wings are a pale creamy brown, along with the rest of her skin. Her wings flap lightly to keep her afloat, her feet hovering a little above the air to avoid the tip of her wings trailing into the dirt. She wears a plain kimono, covering up pieces of leather armour underneath. Her hair is left shoulder-length, curling slightly at the ends. Her bangs are long and she has to constantly brush them away, but it helps hide her away from the rest of the world. When she does need to, she clips her bangs back using a hairclip shaped like a crescent moon.
