Brief biography: 

Basilia was once a conventionally attractive human. But a forgotten and banished goddess, once of mortal blood, came to her. The goddess, powerful, stunning, and confident, embraced Basilia in gentle arms and held the young woman close to her chest. And the goddess gave her an offer- accept her mark and become like her. Basilia wouldn't be conventionally attractive anymore, the goddess warned, and it would be hard for her to find admiration. But she could guarentee that Basilia would never be touched without consent again. 

Basilia agreed, accepting the forsaken goddesses' curse, love, and blessing and was forever changed. And as the goddess promised, all those who sought to touch her with a harming hand, were bit. And as the goddess warned, many who once adored her began to fear her. Basilia was alone, but no one hurt her again.

It took a long time for her to find her stride again. It wasn't as it was before, but she was never going to be that person again. She left her own world, seeking to love and be loved in all its forms by those who could see past her new appearance. Basilia loved who was now and she wouldn't allow anyone to take that from her.

Description: 

Basilia is a tall and slender woman. Despite her frame, she’s surprisingly well toned and strong. She has snakes resembling copperheads for hair, which like to hang out at around shoulder length, sometimes shorter or longer. The snakes are somewhat in her control, but have been known to react on their own. She cannot see out of their eyes traditionally, but has noticed a heightened sense of awareness of things out of her field of view thanks to them.

Her eyes are yellow and slitted, like a snake. Along her body- namely her shoulders, forearms, outer thighs, face, back, and extremities- she has patches of scales. Despite the multitudes of snake-like changes to her body, Basilia’s still able to live her life physically as a human. She has a human jaw, two legs, two arms, and defined hands and feet. Most, if not all, changes to her life post-transformation have been social.
