Brief biography: Charlotte is a witch born late in 1879. She comes from a long line of upper-class magicians--people who have either forced otherworldly creatures into their service or know enough of their ways to bargain with them, or use traces of their magic left behind for their own benefit. Charlotte is ambitious, vain, ruthless, and vastly over-confident. She has parents still living, as well as three older brothers, Robert (a serious sort), Colin (who loves cricket) and Edwin (who has never been serious in his life). Charlotte's greatest ambition is to become recognized for her brilliance in writing and intellect, and to secure the safety of her family's country-house, Uthcaire, and its ancestral lands, which house her family's magical secrets. She has recently acquired a warlock patron.

Description: Charlotte is short, slight, blonde, and pretty in a youthful, doll-like way that may give into sharp features and an almost unnerving intensity as she ages. Her hair has natural loose curls, which she tends to curl even more to achieve that Gibson Girl look. She dresses according to her status, quite opulent when the occasion calls for it, and enjoys pale blues and greens. Perhaps her most striking feature are those bright, pale blue eyes. She stands ramrod straight and moves gracefully. However, she never exposes her bosom, even for balls where such things are expected of women of all ages. This is because of the network of sigils that have been scarred into her chest by her patron, the lady Esserve of the Holly and Hawthorn.
