Backstory

Bertrand Cohen is a butler to Lord Dalv Blackahnd

In the world Bertrand and Dalv hail from, Sazen, people like Bertrand are unfortunately treated with weariness and suspicion. You see, Bertrand is a lycan - an individual cursed with Lycanopathry. His curse means that he can unavoidably transform into a wearwolf, a creature that carries lycanoprathy and has the intelligence of a dog with very little semblance of the Lycan's personality or will. The danger of wearwolves comes in the form of them being able to transmit lycanoprathy to anyone who gets cut but the claws of a lycan.

This has meant that Bertrand needs to be seen and regulated by a government body for the safety of himself and others.

Bertrand is very anxious because of this and often very shy. However, he is a top-notch butler and often excels in his duties. Dalv Blackhand has taken Bertrand under his employ to support the timid lycan and allow Bertrand some semblance of normality in his life.
